Piccadilly Gala Presale February 5th!

Join us as we host a special Piccadilly Gala Presale at Brewer’s Sports Bar on February 5, 2015 from 5:30-7 p.m. This will be an opportunity for you to buy your tickets and plan your seating arrangement for the Piccadilly Gala!

What is a Piccadilly Gala?!
The Piccadilly Gala is a Ladies Night Out and auction benefit for Downtown Alive!   This year’s theme is Ladies in ParaDice. We invite you to a tropical casino-themed night where ladies get to go out, have fun, win prizes and be waited on by the men in our community. Attire is semi-formal; think glamorous Bahamas flair!

Piccadilly Quarter Auction
Piccadilly is a high-energy auction where you could win hundreds of dollars of gifts for only a few quarters! Each guest will have a paddle number assigned to them to bid on items. Items will be presented for a bid, along with the designated bid amount ($0.25 to $3 per bid). If you wish to bid, drop the designated amount in the bucket on your table and hold up your paddle number. A number will be drawn (bingo style) and announced; if the person with that paddle number bid on the item, she is the winner!

Eat, Drink and Celebrate
Dinner will be provided by the wonderful chefs at the Adams Pointe Conference Center. A full cash bar will be available. Cash bar, silent auction, live Piccadilly auction and more!  Don’t forget your quarters for the Piccadilly Auction!

We need you!

Dear Friend,

Thanks to generous donations from our supporters,  Downtown Alive! was able to create and promote downtown events that generated awareness and excitement for our downtown district. We hope that you are able to take part in the many exciting events we have planned for 2015 and experience firsthand the pride that comes with supporting our downtown.

The benefits of a healthy downtown impact all aspects of a community from property owners, retail or service business owners, local residents and consumers, to municipal government, public schools and preservationists.  We are honored to have been named the 2013 Outstanding Affiliate Community by Missouri Main Street.  In addition, a joint project completed by America’s Community Bank and the City of Blue Springs, received the 2014 Outstanding Public Partner Award.  The “Facts and Benefits” link under the “About Us” heading will take you to a list of our many accomplishments.

Can we count on you again this year to help us achieve our goals by contributing to Downtown Alive!?  Downtown Alive! is now a 501(c)(3), nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation and all donations are tax deductible.

Without the generosity of community-minded individuals like you, we would not be able to continue our vital work.  Please return the attached Friends form and be a part of Downtown Alive! in its revitalization mission. Your generosity and partnership will make a difference.  Thank you for your consideration.

Trick or Treat Main Street

Children, pets, and adults from all around came dressed in Halloween costumes to trick or treat down main street October 25th from 10am to noon.  Local businesses opened their store fronts and set up booths along the sidewalk for a fun and safe trick or treat environment.

Activities included games, kids crafts, face paints, photos, bounce house and lots of trick or treating!
